Our Love Story

Cali and Angela first met during their high school years, where their story began as a simple friendship. Although they eventually moved to different cities to pursue their college education, they stayed in touch and remained close despite the distance.

In 2013, everything changed when Angela invited Cali to be one of her 18 Roses during her debut celebration. From that moment on, they found themselves talking more often, growing closer with each passing day. By December of that same year, their friendship had blossomed into love, and they officially became a couple.

At the time, Angela's parents were very strict. Determined to prove his sincere intentions, Cali worked hard to earn their trust and approval. Every date required patience, respect, and perseverance. Through his consistency and genuine love for Angela, he gradually became not only accepted but also embraced as part of her family.

As college students, they faced the challenges of a long-distance relationship. They exchanged handwritten letters, heartfelt messages, and cherished every opportunity to communicate, no matter how brief. Whenever there was a chance to visit Cali at MAAP, Angela never hesitated to make the trip, knowing that every moment together was worth it.

In 2016, Cali began his career as a seafarer, marking the start of another chapter filled with even greater challenges. Longer periods apart, different time zones, and limited communication became part of their everyday lives. Yet despite the distance, they never stopped choosing each other, trusting that every sacrifice was bringing them one step closer to the future they dreamed of.

Before they knew it, time had flown by. From commuting together on jeepneys and buses to finally owning the car they had always dreamed of—lovingly named Sky—every journey became a reminder of how far they had come.

Then, the pandemic changed everything. Like so many others, they suddenly found themselves without a steady source of income while carrying the responsibility of paying for their very first loan together—Sky.

Giving up was never an option.

Cali did everything he could to make ends meet. He ventured into breeding african love birds, sanitizing cars, selling anything he could, and taking every opportunity that came his way. Angela, equally determined to help, started BM's Kitchen, pouring her heart into every meal and every order so they could continue moving forward together.

The road was far from easy. There were moments of uncertainty, countless sacrifices, and endless prayers. But through every setback, they never stopped believing in one another. They faced every challenge as a team, finding strength in the love they had built over the years.

Before they even realized it, Sky was finally paid off. What once seemed like an impossible dream had become a beautiful reminder of what unwavering faith, perseverance, and teamwork can accomplish.

With every obstacle they overcame, they weren't just building financial stability—they were building a stronger foundation for the life they had always imagined together.

Then, in 2023, they took the next beautiful step in their journey. Cali got down on one knee and asked the question they had both been waiting years to hear. Angela said "yes."

After their engagement, they made another life-changing decision—it was time to build a home of their own. Ready to embrace the next chapter of their lives, they carefully planned every step toward marriage while pursuing another dream: creating a place they could finally call home.

The journey, however, was far from easy.

They encountered disappointment after disappointment. They envisioned building their future in different communities, but one by one, those opportunities slipped away. Every setback was heartbreaking, yet each one strengthened their belief that perhaps God was simply leading them to something even better.

Still, they never stopped believing.

Planning a wedding while pursuing the home they had always dreamed of often felt overwhelming. There were moments when the numbers didn't add up, when uncertainty clouded the road ahead, and when giving up seemed like the easier choice.

But through every challenge, they held on to one simple promise:

"We can do it. We'll find a way."

With unwavering faith, determination, and countless sacrifices, they refused to let go of either dream. They moved forward with their wedding plans, continued working tirelessly toward their future, and trusted that every closed door was guiding them exactly where they were meant to be.

Today, their hearts are set on the home they have been praying for in Amadeo. More than just a house, it represents years of perseverance, answered prayers, unwavering faith, and the life they continue to build together, one day at a time.

Their story has never been about taking the easiest path. It has always been about choosing each other, trusting God's perfect timing, and believing that every obstacle was preparing them for something greater.

Now, as they begin this new chapter as husband and wife, they carry with them the same promise that has guided them through every season of life:

"Together, we can do it. Together, we'll always find a way."

From two high school friends, to a couple separated by distance, to partners who weathered uncertainty, celebrated victories, and never stopped dreaming together—their story has always been a testament to love, faith, resilience, and God's perfect timing.

Because in the end, their greatest achievement was never the milestones they reached or the dreams they fulfilled. It was finding a love that remained steadfast through every distance, every challenge, every answered prayer, and every new beginning.

And today, surrounded by the people who have witnessed their journey, they begin their greatest adventure yet—not just as best friends, not just as partners, but as husband and wife.

This is not the end of their story.

It is only the beginning of their forever.
