Our Love Story
A Decade of Love: The Story of Don Zai and Trishia
Some love stories begin with grand gestures. Theirs began with a friendship that quietly grew into a love meant to last a lifetime.
Their story began in Grade 10, where they first met as members of the same dance troupe. What started as a simple friendship gradually grew into a love built on trust, respect, and unwavering support. On February 14, 2026, they officially became a couple—a date that marked the beginning of a beautiful journey. As they entered Senior High School, their relationship continued to blossom. Together, they dreamed, grew, and faced the challenges of young love while encouraging one another to pursue their goals.
College brought new challenges and separate paths. Trishia pursued his dream at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, while Don Zai continued hers at the Laguna State Polytechnic University – Los Baños Campus. Though they studied in different universities, distance never weakened what they had. Instead, it taught them patience, sacrifice, trust, and the quiet kind of love that chooses to stay, no matter how difficult life becomes.
Together, they celebrated one milestone after another. They graduated, passed the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LET), and were both blessed to serve as public school teachers at Malinao Ilaya Integrated National High School. It became a beautiful reminder that the dreams they once whispered to each other as students had finally become the life they now share—serving others with purpose while walking side by side.
The past ten years were not perfect, but they were real. They were filled with prayers answered and prayers that required waiting, with victories earned through perseverance, and with countless ordinary days made extraordinary simply because they had each other. Through every season, they never stopped believing in the love they had built together.
Today, Trishia continues to pursue her Master's Degree, while Don Zai courageously follows another dream as a law student. They continue to grow—not apart, but together—always encouraging one another to become the best versions of themselves.
After a decade of friendship, unwavering love, shared dreams, and God's faithfulness, they now stand at the beginning of their most beautiful chapter. With grateful hearts, they are ready to make forever official—not simply as two people in love, but as two souls who grew up together, dreamed together, and never stopped choosing each other.
Today, they begin forever as husband and wife.
