Our Love Story

Kinsa ba'y maghuna-huna nga ang among love story magsugod ra diay sa kusina?

We met during our college years as scholars of Enfants du Mékong. We both came from humble families, and the center became our second home while we chased our dreams.

Life in the center meant everyone had a role. Someone had to cook, someone would be a marketer, someone would be a budgeter etc. Akong pinakaleast favorite? Ang mahimong cook. 😅 Whenever I was assigned to cook, he somehow always found a reason to be in the kitchen, offering help.

From cooking together, nahimong snacks after class sa Anita’s Bakery, walking to church together, and spending more time talking than we probably should have. Somewhere between those ordinary moments, our friendship quietly became something much more.

After college, life took us on different adventures. He sailed the seas as a seaman, while I buried myself in spreadsheets and became a CPA. Distance, different time zones, and unpredictable schedules became part of our story, but so did patience, unwavering support, and choosing each other again and again.

Looking back, it's funny how our love story didn't begin with grand gestures or a dramatic first meeting. It began with simple acts of kindness, shared dreams, and two young scholars who never imagined they'd one day be planning a wedding together.

From sharing a home with fellow scholars to building a home of our own, we can't wait to start this next chapter—and we can't wait to celebrate it with all of you.

Frequently Asked Questions

A little guide so everyone can simply enjoy the day with us. 🤍

We are so excited to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime moment with the people who are dear to us. Since this is a destination wedding, we kindly ask everyone to read through the FAQs below so we can all be on the same page—and make the most of our time together!

  • When should I RSVP?

The favor of a reply is required on or before October 30, 2026.

Please help us keep things organized by responding within the RSVP period. Your timely response will help us finalize the guest list, catering, seating, and other wedding arrangements.

  • Do we really need to RSVP? We already said “YES” to the couple.

    Yes, please! 💜

As much as we'd love to simply count on your verbal “YES,” we will still need your formal RSVP to consolidate guest details and finalize the headcount for catering and seating.

Think of your RSVP as your official “See you there!” to our wedding.

  • I said “NO” to the RSVP, but my plans changed. Can I still attend?

We completely understand that plans can change. However, we do have a strict guest list and limited seating, so please check with us first.

    • Kindly let us know if your schedule clears up.
    • We will do our best to accommodate you if a seat becomes available.
    • If we are able to accommodate you, we will let you know as soon as possible.
    • Please do not attend unannounced, as we may not have an available seat for you.

We'd rather know ahead of time than have you arrive and find out we've run out of seats. 🥹

  • May I bring a “PLUS ONE”?

As much as we would love to celebrate with everyone, our venue has a limited capacity, and our guest list has been carefully planned.

If you would like to bring a plus-one, please check with us first so we can confirm if we’re able to accommodate them. Once approved, we’ll let you know that you may share the RSVP link with your plus-one so they can fill out their own guest details.

Please do not share the RSVP link or invite an additional guest without checking with us first, as we need to keep our final headcount accurate for catering and seating.

We promise, the guest list is one of the things we had to plan with a little extra love and logistics. 😅💜

  • This is a destination wedding. Will accommodation be provided?

We are very excited to celebrate with you in our hometown! Since this is a destination wedding, however, accommodation is not included with the wedding invitation.

Accommodation has been arranged specifically for our immediate family and members of the entourage. For all other guests, we kindly ask that you make your own accommodation arrangements based on your preferred location, budget, and travel plans.

We encourage you to book early, especially since this is a destination wedding and nearby accommodations may fill up.

We’re truly grateful that you’re making the trip to celebrate with us—and we hope the journey becomes part of the memories, too.

    Yet to come, indeed. 💜

  • Can I sit anywhere at the reception?

    Please don't. 😅

Our seating arrangement has been carefully planned with everyone's convenience and preferences in mind. We’ll make sure you are seated with friends, family, or people you’ll hopefully have something in common with.

Our coordinators will gladly assist you in finding your designated seat after registration, so there's no need to figure it out on your own.

Just follow the plan and trust the process. 😉

  • Am I allowed to take pictures and/or videos during the ceremony?

We kindly request that everyone keep the ceremony camera-free.

Our “I Do’s” will be unplugged, so please put the phones away and be fully present with us as we make one of the biggest promises of our lives.

Don't worry—our reception is definitely not camera-free! There will be plenty of opportunities to take photos, videos, and memories throughout the celebration.

For this part of the day, we simply want everyone to be there with us, in the moment. 🤍

  • May I bring kids to the venue?

We absolutely adore your little ones, but this wedding is reserved for adults only.

We hope you can take this as an opportunity to unwind, dress up, have fun, and celebrate with us without your usual responsibilities for the day.

If there is a special circumstance where bringing your child is necessary, please let us know before the wedding so we can discuss it with you.

    Thank you for understanding! 🥂✨

  • When is the appropriate time to leave?

We know everyone has their own schedules, but this celebration has taken us months to plan, and we truly want to spend as much time as possible with the people who mean so much to us.

So, if you can, stay until the end of the program!

Eat, laugh, dance, take pictures, join the activities, and celebrate with us. We don't get this day twice. 💜

  • A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR GUESTS

If you want to help us have the best wedding day possible, here's our simple list:

    • ♡ Pray with us for favorable weather and God's continued blessings as we begin this new chapter as husband and wife.
    • ♡ RSVP on time and let us know of any changes to your attendance as early as possible.
    • ♡ Dress appropriately and follow our wedding motif.
    • ♡ Be on time. We have a whole day planned and would love for you to experience it from the beginning.
    • ♡ Follow the seating arrangement at the reception.
    • ♡ Keep the ceremony unplugged and be fully present with us.
    • ♡ Stay until the end of the program, if your schedule allows.
    • ♡ Join the activities, eat well, laugh loudly, and enjoy!

Most importantly, thank you for making the trip, being part of our special day, and celebrating this new chapter with us.

This is our day, our little Magic Shop, and we can't wait to make beautiful memories with you. 💜

    With love,

    El-El & Hiez
