Our Love Story
Our Love Story: From Enemies to Forever
Our story began in 2013 at Ace Hardware SM Davao, where we worked as colleagues. I was a consignee sales clerk, while James was a regular Sales Associate. Funny enough, we didn’t get along at first. We started as enemies, constantly disagreeing with each other. Little did we know that those little arguments would eventually become the beginning of the greatest love story of our lives.
A few months later, I left Ace Hardware to pursue opportunities with other companies. During those years, James never stopped supporting me, even when I had to live alone in a boarding house while chasing my dreams. His love and encouragement became my strength.
After two years of working, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life—to leave my job and focus on building an online business. It was a risky step, but James believed in me even when success wasn’t guaranteed. When the business finally became stable, we achieved our first major milestone together: buying our very first home at Deca Homes Tigatto.
A year later, we decided to let go of that house and move to a new one in Toril, closer to James’ family. Around the same time, I also opened my own bags shop. Our dreams continued to grow, and not long after, we opened our first franchised eatery, TapsiShop.
Then came the year that changed everyone’s lives—the COVID-19 pandemic. Like many businesses, we were forced to stop dine-in operations. It was one of the hardest seasons we ever faced. Instead of giving up, we adapted. We focused on deliveries, transferred to a smaller store, and kept fighting together.
When the pandemic eased, we decided it was time to build something that truly belonged to us. We rebranded our business into Raimes Food Services, now proudly known as Wing Master Silog, serving unlimited chicken wings and creating a brand that reflected our own vision and hard work.
One year later, we dreamed even bigger. Together, we turned our business into a franchise. Branch by branch, our hard work began to pay off. We built a stable business, bought our first car, and even rebuilt our home into a bigger one—a symbol of how far we had come from where we started.
Today, after 13 years together, our journey has never been perfect. We’ve experienced victories and failures, laughter and tears, misunderstandings and countless challenges. We’ve argued, made mistakes, and faced moments that tested our love. But through every season, we always chose each other.
Looking back, we realize that our greatest achievement isn’t the house, the car, or the business we’ve built. It’s the life we’ve created together. We started as strangers, became enemies, fell in love, became business partners, and grew into each other’s greatest blessing.
Our story proves that true love isn’t about having a perfect journey—it’s about choosing the same person, every single day, through every challenge life brings.
And after 13 beautiful years… we still choose each other.
Here’s to forever, James and Angel. ❤️
