Our Love Story

From a Chance Encounter to Forever

Some love stories begin with friendship. Ours began with a simple online connection.

Kaye and Jerome met online, both coming from chapters of their lives that had taught them lessons about love, heartbreak, and starting over. They had both found their way back to themselves, healed from past heartaches, and were ready for something different.

When they finally found each other, everything felt surprisingly natural. There was no pretense, no pressure, and no need to pretend to be someone they weren't. Being together felt like a calm ocean — peaceful, comforting, and familiar. It was as if they had known each other long before they actually met.

They didn't find each other to complete one another. They had already found their way back to themselves. Instead, they found someone with whom they could build a peaceful life, share their dreams, and be completely comfortable being who they truly were.

They skipped the usual friends-first chapter and went straight into becoming lovers. From the beginning, they chose honesty. Their pasts were laid on the table, their stories shared, and even their darkest secrets unveiled. Nothing was hidden, nothing needed to be disguised. They understood that the past was there to teach them, not to define them. What mattered was learning, growing, and choosing to build a better future together.

Their relationship became a safe space, built on transparency, open communication, understanding, and a kind of love that never had to be loud to be certain.

And then, there was the mango.

Before Jerome came along, Kaye had once made a little wish to God: that when the right person came into her life, he would bring her an Indian mango. It may sound like an unusual request, but sometimes the sweetest answers come in the most unexpected ways. And somehow, Jerome came along with that very mango. Coincidence or a little divine hint? They will leave that one to God.

From the very beginning, Jerome would casually drop hints about getting married someday. Kaye, who had never really imagined herself walking down the aisle, slowly found herself dreaming of it too. With Jerome, forever no longer felt like a distant idea. It became something she could believe in and look forward to.

Jerome also made one thing clear: he wanted to do things properly. He wanted Kaye to experience every step of the journey — meeting the parents, asking for their blessing, a proper proposal, seeking her parents' permission, and eventually, a wedding in the church. He wanted their love story to be more than just a promise between two people; he wanted it to be a commitment honored by their families and before God.

And here they are now.

Two people who found each other after heartbreak, discovered peace in one another, and turned an unexpected online encounter into a lifetime commitment.

What started with a conversation, a calm kind of love, and perhaps a little mango magic has led them to this beautiful chapter.

They didn't need someone to complete their story. They found someone with whom they wanted to write the rest of it.

And now, they're ready to say yes to forever.

1 Corinthians 13:7

“Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
