Our Love Story

From Unexpected Encounters to a Lifetime Together

Their love story began in the most unexpected place—aboard a ship.

In 2023, their paths crossed aboard Holland America Line’s Westerdam. It all began with a tall girl who caught Julius’s attention, a busy Documentation Manager, a little polvoron, and a few messages on Microsoft Teams—with laundry detergent as Julius’s clever excuse to start a conversation!

What began as simple work conversations and friendship slowly blossomed into something more. Then came a dinner invitation in Kobe, Japan. Thinking it was a group shore leave, Kristine was surprised to discover it was just the two of them—and even invited their supervisor along! Little did she know, Julius was already trying to win her heart.

She didn’t say yes right away, but eventually realized that what they shared was more than friendship. In 2024, Julius proposed, and together they continued dreaming, traveling, and building a future.

Now, in 2026, those dreams lead them to their most beautiful destination yet: marriage.

No more signing off, no more sailing away, and no more goodbyes at the end of a contract. This time, they are sailing into forever.

1 Corinthians 13:7

“Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
