Our Love Story

For anyone who has ever read a Wattpad story, our love story might feel like one of those unforgettable tales—a simple glance from afar that became the beginning of forever.

Our story began in 2011 at Vicente Madrigal National High School- Binangonan, Rizal. Back then, Rafael was simply a boy enjoying his recess snack in another school building, while Cristina was a girl who happened to notice him from afar. They were strangers then, unaware that a single glance would be the beginning of a love story.

One simple text message from Cristina changed everything. As they served together as Peace Officers of the Supreme Student Government (SSG), their conversations grew into friendship, affection, and eventually, love. In August 2012, Rafael visited Cristina’s home to respectfully ask her parents for permission to court her. On June 23, 2013, they officially began their journey as a couple.

Like every love story, theirs came with seasons of change. College took them down different paths, with Cristina pursuing BS Food Technology at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Manila, graduating in May 2017, while Rafael earned his BS Medical Technology degree from Our Lady of Fatima University in Antipolo in October 2018. Amid busy schedules, new responsibilities, and dreams for the future, they learned that love was not simply about being together every day—it was about choosing each other, even when life took them in different directions.

So, what has kept their love strong all these years? Perhaps it is their shared values, being on the same wavelength, and, above all, their faith in God. Their love has always been found in the little things—from food trips and movie dates to arcade basketball games and attending church services together. These simple moments, filled with laughter, understanding, and companionship, became the memories they would treasure most.

What began with a glance has grown into a love that has stood the test of time. By God’s grace and guidance, Rafael and Cristina are now ready to begin their forever.

Now, with hearts full of gratitude and love, Rafael and Cristina invite their dearest family and friends to witness and celebrate this beautiful, God-given blessing as they begin their next chapter—together, in faith and in love.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I still need to RSVP if I have already confirmed my attendance with the couple?

Yes, please! Even if you have already verbally confirmed your attendance, we kindly ask you to complete the RSVP form on our wedding website. This will serve as our official guest list and help us finalize the seating arrangements and other wedding preparations. Only guests who have completed the RSVP will be included in our final headcount. Kindly complete the RSVP form by November 15, 2026.

  • May I bring a plus-one to the wedding?

As much as we would love to celebrate with everyone, we have a limited number of seats and have carefully prepared our guest list to include the people closest to our hearts. We kindly ask that only guests who have been personally invited attend the celebration.

  • What if I have already RSVP'd but can no longer attend?

We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise. If you can no longer attend after confirming your RSVP, please inform the couple at least one week before the wedding. This will allow us to make the necessary adjustments to our seating arrangements and, if possible, offer your seat to another guest.

  • May I take photos or videos during the wedding ceremony?

To respect the rules of our church and allow everyone to be fully present during the ceremony, the use of cellphones and cameras inside the church is not permitted. Church officers will collect and secure these devices upon entry and provide a numbered claim stub for their retrieval after the ceremony. We kindly ask for your cooperation and understanding.

  • Are kids allowed at the wedding?

We kindly request that only adults attend the wedding, with the exception of our designated flower girl and ring bearer. Thank you for your understanding!

  • Are pets allowed at the church and reception venue?

As much as we love our furry friends, pets are unfortunately not allowed at either the church or the reception venue.

  • What happens if I arrive late? Will I still be allowed to enter the church?

We kindly ask everyone to arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony to ensure everyone is seated and ready before it begins. Our wedding ceremony will start promptly at 3:00 PM.

As Iglesia Ni Cristo observes strict service schedules, entry into the church may not be permitted once the ceremony has begun. To avoid missing this special moment, we encourage everyone to plan their trip accordingly and allow extra time for traffic and parking.

  • Is parking available at the church and reception venue?

Church: Parking spaces at the church are limited, and church officers will assist guests with the available parking arrangements. If the church parking area is full, nearby establishments such as Puregold, McDonald's, Chowking, Jollibee, and Mang Inasal may be alternative options, subject to their parking policies and availability.

Reception Venue: Ample parking spaces have been arranged for our guests, and parking attendants will be available to assist you upon arrival.

  • How far is the reception venue from the church, and how can I get there?

The reception venue is approximately 10–15 minutes away from the church, depending on traffic conditions.

Two (2) vans will be provided for transportation. Priority will be given to our primary and secondary sponsors. However, if their transfer is delayed due to photo sessions, available guests may be transported to the reception venue first. Please note that the vans will make multiple trips to pick up the remaining guests.

If you prefer to proceed directly to the reception venue or arrive ahead of the other guests, you may use your own vehicle or take public transportation.
