Our Love Story

Our story started in Cebu, sa isang simpleng gathering ng networking group. He was one of the guests from Batangas, and at that time, mentor lang ang tingin ko sa kanya. I never imagined na one day, siya pala ang magiging future husband ko. During the pandemic, he started checking on us. From business and team updates, our conversations slowly became deeper. We talked about life, dreams, goals, and realizations. Pero that time, I never expected anything from him because I was in a relationship, and I was loyal to my partner. Before siya bumalik sa Batangas, he secretly sent me a birthday letter. Later on, nalaman ko na he had liked me since 2019. But I rejected the idea because I already had a boyfriend. I even blocked him, thinking that was the end of our story. Years passed, and life happened. In 2024, my eight-year relationship ended because we were no longer on the same page about settling down. I decided to focus on myself, my dreams, and my healing. I prayed to God, “Lord, ayoko nang magmadali sa love. If I ever love again, I want it to be Your will. Gusto ko yung pang-lifetime na talaga.” Then, in May 2025, habang nagre-review ako, bigla siyang pumasok sa isip ko. I searched for our old conversation and finally replied to his message.

He asked if I had a boyfriend, and I told him I was single but not ready for a relationship. But he was willing to wait. He kept showing up, traveling from Batangas to Cebu just to see me. He took me on dates, surprised me with flowers, and even joined me in doing charity work on my birthday. Unti-unti, he proved that his intentions were genuine—not just through words, but through his actions. I was hesitant at first. I tested his patience, acted cold sometimes, and carried the fears from my past. But he remained consistent, patient, and respectful of my boundaries. Still, I prayed and asked God for guidance because I didn't want a temporary love. I wanted someone who would choose me for a lifetime. And with him, I felt something different. I felt safe, comfortable, and at peace. Then, on January 1, 2026, I finally said YES! After two months, he proposed during our family gathering. He shared that when he first met me, ipinag-pray na pala niya na someday, magiging kami. He even wrote his prayer on a piece of paper and dropped it into the prayer box at Simala. “He prayed for a future with me. I prayed for God's will. And in His perfect time, God answered both our prayers not just by bringing us together, but by leading us toward a lifetime of love, faith, and commitment.

The woman he once prayed for became the woman he would soon marry. God's timing is truly beautiful. Now, the man who once sent me a letter without revealing his identity is the same man who is preparing to stand beside me at the altar. The man who traveled from Batangas to Cebu just to see me, will soon walk with me into a new chapter of life. And the woman who once said, “Hindi, may boyfriend ako,” is now preparing to become his wife.
