our Love Story
Sometimes, the best love stories begin in the simplest and most unexpected ways.
Ours began with a friend request on Facebook.
Sometime in October 2021, Alexis sent Lovely a friend request. It remained unanswered for more than a month, but that didn’t stop him from making his presence known—his name would often appear, liking and reacting to her posts and stories.
By November, Lovely finally accepted his friend request. The likes and reactions continued, until December 15, 2021, when Alexis finally sent the first message.
Neither of us knew it then, but that simple message would be the beginning of something special.
What started as casual conversations slowly became something we both looked forward to. We talked, laughed, shared stories, and little by little, became part of each other’s everyday lives.
The funny thing is, we don’t actually know the exact moment we went from friends to lovers. There was no official date when everything changed. Our feelings simply grew naturally, and somewhere between all those conversations and ordinary moments, friendship quietly became love.
Because our story never had an exact beginning, we chose December 15, 2021—the day of that very first message—as our anniversary. It felt right to celebrate the day that started it all.
Looking back, it still makes us smile to think that everything began with a friend request that went unanswered for more than a month.
We may not remember the exact moment we went from friends to lovers, but we’ll always remember the message that started it all.
December 15, 2021. 🤍
